Brian Barry is a lecturer with the Department of Law at the Dublin Institute of Technology. He has a law degree and a PhD from the School of Law, Trinity College Dublin and is a qualified solicitor. He has undertaken research programmes as a visiting scholar at Columbia University, New York and the University of Toronto.
Brian’s main research interest is in how judges make decisions. His talk explores how judges can make better, fairer decisions if they learn about, and participate in, experiments testing for errors in their decision-making.
