Gráinne McKeever is a stand up comedian, secondary school art teacher and a PhD student of Sociology in the UCD College of Social Sciences and Law. Although her area of study is citizenship she can’t help applying sociological theory to every aspect of her life. She has chosen to examine the sociological theories underlying the myth that “women aren’t funny” and to expose the reality that women are more than capable of being hilarious. She thinks it’s a good idea, well worth spreading and hopes that you will too!!
